Rubicon Law advised on DTCPAY’s US$16.5 million pre-series A fundraising round

Rubicon Law is pleased to announce our role as legal adviser to DTCPay on its recent US$16.5 million pre-Series A financing round led by luxury real estate mogul.

The fundraising round was led by Mr. Kwee Liong Tek, the chairman of luxury real estate group, the Pontiac Land Group. Other investors included Mr. David Tung (former Managing Director and Partner, The Carlyle Group), Mr. Jean Marc Poullet (Chairman of BURGESS Asia), and Mr. Tham Sai Choy (former Chairman, KPMG Singapore and Asia Pacific).

DTCPay is a Singapore-based payment solutions provider which provides a wide range of payment solutions designed for both businesses and individuals. Key product offerings include a multi-currency swap platform, allowing individuals to convert fiat and digital currencies securely and easily, as well as secure online payment methods and Point-of-Sale systems for businesses to accept a wide range of payment options, including digital currencies.

Established in 2019, DTCPay holds a Major Payment Institution license granted by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (“MAS”) in 2022 to provide Digital Payment Tokens services and other payment services under the Payment Services Act of Singapore and stands out as one of the very few MAS-licensed players in the digital payments sector in Singapore.

Currently, DTCPay counts Christopher Guy, DM Autohouse Pte. Ltd., Cars & Coffee, and other prominent businesses catering to high-net-worth individuals as some of its clients. DTCPay will be expanding its operations to Hong Kong and Dubai.  

The closing of this successful fundraising round provides DTCPay with substantial funding to support its product offerings, infrastructural and operational growth, and territorial expansion plans in the fast-growing digital payments industry. Further, the investment from prominent and esteemed investors reflects confidence in DTCPay’s business model and potential.
